Stanley P. Markowski, 81, of Tabor, TX passed away on August 5, 2024 in College Station, Texas passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Stanley was born May 18, 1943, in Houston, Tx, to his parents, Bill and Alice Markowski.
Shortly after he was born, he and his family moved to Bremond, Tx, where he and his siblings grew up together. He eventually moved to Bryan, Tx, where he met his wife Bonnie.
On June 19, 1965, Stanley married his dear wife, Bonnie, and they moved to Dallas, Tx. Later they moved to Marlin, Tx, where he worked alongside his brother as a firefighter helping to serve others. Stanley and Bonnie then moved to Tabor, Tx where they completed their family with three loving children Mike, Chris, and Amy. They all have fond memories of their father working for Clyde Wilson Dairy in the late 1960’s and Lilly Dairy in the 1970’s. Stanley then started working for TXDot where he eventually retired from.
Stanley never missed a good camping trip with his family and friends. He loved playing horseshoes, volleyball and dominoes till the sun came up. His favorite pastime was playing Aggravation with his grandchildren, which he was very fond of.
For over 50 years, he was a member of the Alexander Methodist Church. During retirement and prior, he took pride in keeping the cemetery and church mowed and looking wonderful for all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Bill Markowski, along with his siblings Helen, Edmund, Benny, Fred, Patsy & Ronnie.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie. His sister JoAn Slafka. Children, Mike and Billie Jo, Chris and Amy. Grandchildren Laine and Ashton, Taylor and Steven, Justin and Laura, Colby, Shelby and Phillip. And one great-grandchild, Bentley.
Memorial Services will be held at Alexander Methodist Church, 5300 Alexander Cemetery Rd. Bryan, Tx 77808 at 3pm Friday, August 9th, 2024.

I worked with Stanley many years at the Highway Department at the Brazos County yard. He was a character and then some. Many fun memories of him at work.
