Sarah Ramirez Sifuentez passed quietly at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday October 30th. Private Funeral Service will be held and those in attendance are required to wear a face mask or face covering. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Born in Rosebud Texas, she was a lifelong Bryan resident. She worked as a lab and nursing assistant at St. Joseph Hospital in 1950 for over 10 years. She also worked as a butcher for the A&P market, had several jobs as a factory worker, and finally retired from Texas A&M University.

An excellent seamstress and cook, she loved music, dancing, and was an excellent gambler. Always social, she was active in several organizations to include El Club Social and more recently the Brazos County Senior Center. She loved hunting and fishing with Dad, and they traveled extensively.

She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Loving mother, spouse, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed.

Her husband, Gilberto Sifuentez Jr.; her parents, Mateo and Jova Ramirez; and her daughter-in-law, Ann Lita Sifuentez, and six brothers and one sister all precede Sarah in death.

Sarah’s legacy continues through her surviving family her son, Gilbert Sifuentez III; her daughter, Patricia and husband Tom Golson; her grandchildren Gabriel and wife Hope Sifuentez, Sonya Tijerina; her great grandchildren, Daniella Jade, Gideon, Nicholas, and Ruby Rose; her brothers, Roy and wife Viola Ramirez, Frank and Marla Ramirez; her sisters, Beatrice and Jack Horton, Josephine and Jose’ Lopez; and other family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the Brazos County Senior Citizens Association, 1402 Bristol Drive, Bryan, Tx 77802 in Loving Memory of Sarah Sifuentez.

  1. My condolence goes out to the Family, Gilbert & Patty. I will always remember Sarah like one of my own family member, being that we grew up in the same neighborhood. She in god’s hands now, May she rest in peace.
