  1. So sorry to hear of Raymond Jr passing. He will be missed by us all. I wish I had been able to spend more time with him these last few years. The last time I saw him was at Mom’s funeral in 2013. He called me before Hurricane Harvey to be sure I was evacuating & offered us a place to stay if we needed one.
Miss you & Luv ya, Cuz

  2. Dear Doris,
Raymond is home with Jesus and in no more pain. You took very good care of him. We are sorry for your loss.

  3. Dear Doris,
I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that Raymond is with Jesus and that makes me smile through the tears. I feel so blessed to have known Raymond; it was an honor! I am blessed to know you and to mourn along side of you. I love you my dear friend!

  4. Raymond will be dearly missed. Raymond and Doris were my mother’s neighbors and dear friends. As my mother aged, Raymond and Doris kept eyes on her. They came by most days to check in. Mom loved to sit on the porch and Raymond and Doris would sit with her. Raymond always greeted mom with a hug and a hair tussle. She loved it! When he baked cookies for Sunday school he always brought her a couple and she told me how delicious they were. Raymond was a kind and caring man, a wonderful husband and father, and a sweet friend. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to know him.

  5. Raymond,
You were dear to our Sunday School department. We know that you are with our Savior but will miss you till we all get to heaven.
    Brenda and Glenn Harmon

  6. Doris and Family,
We will truly miss Raymond. I (Mike) am glad I was able to spend a few minutes with y’all on Wednesday morning at the hospital. Love and prayers to you all.
    Mike and Carol Downie

  7. Doris,
One lesson Ray’s life taught us: Never underestimate the power & significance of a back-porch ministry in later life.

You and Ray have been a blessing –not just to Hank & Winnie–but to their humans as well.

We hope to see you there, Doris, when you are ready. You can be guaranteed that Hank & Winnie –thanks to Ray–will be looking for you each time we pass your gate…!

You & Ray had many lovely pictures taken together at beautiful places. But just think of the majestic beauty Ray is seeing now in the presence of His Lord and Savior.

“When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus…”

For now though, may God bless you with comfort and strength. May He carry you when life seems too hard. And may you know that you are dearly loved.

  8. Raymond was a neighbor who would visit with another neighbor and myself on many mornings. He always had a smile, story and sometimes some home baked cookies. I would see him in the park when walking Hershey, he would meet us at his back gate with a hello and treat for Hershey. She still wants to stop as we walk by, she remembers getting a treat or two as we rounded the corner. The neighbors will miss him. Prayers for you Doris and family.
