Raul Gomez-Alvarado

Raul Gomez-Alvarado, 64, passed away on April 27, 2023, in San Antonio, TX. Raul was born on June 23, 1958, in San Luis Potsi, Mexico to Fidel and Josefina Gomez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josefina Gomez.

He really enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He would meticulously garden and maintain his yard even while working hard, long days in the concrete business. Raul enjoyed spending time with family. He loved traveling to Mexico to see family and friends, sometimes traveling for months at a time.

He is survived by his father, Fidel Gomez; his loving wife, Gloria Gomez; his son, Luis Fernando Gomez and spouse Sara; his stepsons, Raul DeLuna and Jesus DeLuna and spouse Maria Elena DeLuna; his stepdaughters, San Juana DeLuna, Gloria P. DeLuna, Raquel Martinez, and Esmeralda DeLuna; two grandchildren, Julieta Gomez and Luis Fernando Gomez, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

A visitation and rosary are planned for the evening of Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 5pm -7pm at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center in Bryan. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, 1212 Lucky Street, Bryan, Words of comfort can be shared with the family at www.callawayjones.com.
