Pat Barron passed away on Friday, July 30th, 2021, at CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital. Viewing and rosary will take place on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers in Bryan, Texas. Viewing will start at 5:00 pm and the rosary will follow at 7:00 pm. A Catholic mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church with burial following at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.

Pat was born in Bryan, Texas to Jessie and Martha Barron. She graduated from Bryan High School in 1979. Pat worked as a telephone operator and in the business office for GTE. She also worked for Texas A&M University with the Physical Plant as a radio operator and later worked for Transportation Services as a parking officer.

Pat loved to watch sports. Her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, Texas A&M Aggies and Bryan Vikings. She truly enjoyed watching her teams play, especially the Aggie baseball team. Pat loved dancing and listening to music, and could always be heard singing her favorite line, “Yo te quiero mucho.” She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and considered no one a stranger as she loved holding conversations with everybody. Pat met her soul mate, Randall, almost 30 years ago and in that time they enjoyed watching old TV shows such as “I Love Lucy,” “Andy Griffith,” “The Rifleman,” and many other shows. The two of them could always be spotted dining and enjoying each other’s company at Pat’s favorite restaurant, The Kettle.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Martha (Ramirez) Barron.

Surviving family members include her brother, Jessie Barron, Jr. and wife, Josie; sister, Esther Herrera and husband, Joel; sister, Natalie DeLeon and husband, Richard; sister, Connie Ochoa; sister, Clemencia Barker and husband, James; sister, Felicita Anzualda and husband, Fernando; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her life partner, Randall Alaman.

  2. Man oh man where do I begin. All those years at the radio room with you are something I will never forget. Then you being there while I was pregnant with Nick and being there after I had him. Your friendship is something I will forever cherish. We lost contact so many years ago but I thought about you often; wondering how you were and what you were up to. Watch over Randall and your family. We love and miss you bunches!

  4. I worked with Pat at the Facilities Service Communications Center as a Dispatcher, and in times when help was needed in the Dispatch office, Pat could often be found cheerfully helping out. Pat was a colorful character who will be missed. Though we didn’t talk a lot, I considered Pat to be a friend, she will be missed.
