Pamela Joy Meier

Pamela Joy Burt Meier, 75, of Bryan, passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Friday evening, July 9, 2021 at Callaway – Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Funeral Services are set for 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Callaway – Jones Funeral Center, with interment at Steep Hollow Cemetery in Bryan. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers in Bryan.

Pamela was born January 5, 1946 in Bryan, Texas, to Norris and Hazel Burt. She graduated Stephen F. Austin High School in 1964. Then attended Sam Houston State University. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. Later attended Beauty School and was a Hairdresser for 27 years. After retiring in 1992 she went to help a family friend Jesse “Red” Burditt as a secretary. Pamela enjoyed working in her yard and doing crafts. She attended and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Darby Lee Meier, her parents Norris and Hazel Burt, brother Norris Wayne Burt, sister Elaine Burt Burlin.

Survivors included, son, Kevin Meier and wife, Betty of Bryan; daughter, Kimberly Meier Weiser and husband, Doug of Bryan; four grandchildren, Cody Meier and wife Emily, Courtney Meier, Keaton Weiser and Sam Weiser, Palmer Meier, great-granddaughter.
