Olivia was born on January 6, 1941, to Francisco and Juana Juarez Hernandez, raised by Maria Jimenez Hernandez, in Brownsville, Texas. Olivia married the love of her life Norberto Galindo on October 18, 1962. Together they welcomed seven children into their family and raised three grandchildren: the late Lupe “Boggie” Galindo, April Gonzales, and Robert Ray Galindo.

Her loving husband Norberto Galindo, her parents, Francisco and Juana Hernandez, Maria Jimenez Hernandez, along with her daughter Deborah Luna, son-in-law John Luna, granddaughter Jennifer Keith, grandsons Lupe “Boggie” Galindo, Jay Arredondo and Ponce DeLeon, all preceded her in death.

First and foremost, Olivia Galindo was a woman of faith who loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind. She was a loving faithful wife until the end that demonstrated the Proverbs 31:10.

She loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with an unconditional love and was always ready to lend a helping hand despite limited means as she was always truly blessed by her Heavenly Father.

In her early years she loved attending church at Sanctuary of Praise where her Pastors Joe Alaniz Jr and his lovely wife Margaret always demonstrated what it meant to be a true Shephard to our mother.

During her last days on earth, along with her children her Pastors never left her side. This was a promise they kept to our father when he passed away, for that we will always be grateful to Pastor’s Alaniz. She loved her parents, sisters, brothers, all her nieces and nephews, her family as whole. She loves the Word of God, along with Dr. Pepper, snacks, her daytime stories, her nighttime game shows on T.V.

Our mom to us (her children), confidant to her friends. She will forever be loved and missed until we meet again.

She is survived by her children, Robert Galindo and wife, Delma, Yolanda Galindo, Zulema Casares and husband Gilbert, Joe Galindo and wife Rosie, Margarita Carney and husband Gene, and Humberto Galindo; her 23 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren all who adored her.
