Maurice was born June 25th, 1952 to Raymond and Milady Janac in Bryan, Tx. In his youth, and even in his adult years, Maurice was very athletic and entertained many people by walking and climbing stairs on his hands! He was also a prankster, joking with, and teasing his many friends and family.

Maurice and Connie (Jensen) met while attending A&M Consolidated high school and dated for 6 years before getting married on July 16, 1977. Maurice was employed by the City of College Station as a meter reader and later as a city inspector. He retired in 1997 and enjoyed sharing time with family, going to casino’s and managing his real estate holdings. Maurice also experienced great joy in sharing time (and his powdered donuts) with his grandchildren. Maurice was a lifelong member of Snook Brethren Church and served on the Elders Board several times.

Maurice is preceded in death by his parents Milady and Raymond Janac; father-in-law, Don Jensen; nephew, Stephen Novacek.

He is survived by his wife Connie of 44 years; daughter, Elizabeth Ridgway and her husband Joey and granddaughter Laurel; son, Matthew Janac and wife Delilah and grandsons Maddox and Emmet; brother, Larry Janac; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Jon Hughes; sister and brother-in Law, Beverly and LeRay Novacek; many extended family and friends.
