Martha Jeanine Lamb was born in Trinity, Texas May 8, 1931 and departed November 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Lamb, Mother, Claudia Mae Boring Pippin, Father, Admiral Dewey Pippin, Daughter, Deborah Jeanne Stout, and Brother, Lionel D. Pippin. She is survived by her daughter, Layna Callaway, husband Robert “Buster”, two granddaughters, Kelly Perez and Lauren Stanley, Husband Cristian Stanley, and great grandsons Eddie Perez and Miles Stanley. She is also survived by her sister, Glenda Spencer Frost and brother, Bobby Pay Pippin, nephews, Jason Spencer, Kevin Spencer, Bobby Ray Pippin Jr., Robert Pippin and many cousins.
Jeanine was born in Trinity, TX. She spent her formative years in Port Arthur, TX, singing with her high school glee club and on the radio in Port Arthur. She raised her daughters in Pasadena, TX and was very active in PTA and was president for many years. She worked professionally as a dental assistant and president of that organization. After retiring, her love of music grew, as she was a pastor’s wife for many years and generously gave her time and talents organizing and actively participating and helping to grow the church community. After her husband Lee passed away, she relocated to Houston to be near her family. She will always be remembered for the tremendous love that she had for her family, positive outlook, and her zest for life!
Her spiritual gift was her voice and the love, support and kindness she gave to anyone who knew her and those who also needed a smile, a hug, or prayer. She also loved children of all ages. She could make them laugh, bake them something good to eat, and sing them a song – they all loved her. Her gift of taking care of others in a loving and caring selfless way or lending an ear will be greatly missed.
Sweet sweet Jeanine, what a beautiful soul. I loved her dearly. She and Lee were everyone’s grandparents at church and Jeanine at FUMC Bryan’s UMW. My 3 kids adored them as much as I did. My thoughts and prayers are with your families. What a treasure.
