Upon his time in the military, he later made his residence in Bryan, Texas where he lived since 1981. Hobbies and interests of his included playing horseshoes, darts, spending time with family, and sitting on his front porch.

He was a great father, grandfather, father-in-law, husband, and overall family man. His presence and ability to make everyone laugh and smile with his stories will stay with us forever. He would always find ways to bond with each grandchild over their interests. He went along with all the children’s requests such as the Christmas photos they took in their pajamas. He would sit around all day taking and telling stories on the front porch. His humor stood out whether he was making a joke or picking on Mom. Although he wasn’t a man of many words, you knew he loved you and would always be there for you.

  8. You always filled a room with your presence. You were always talking and the ones you were talking to were laughing. Your presence was always felt even in the biggest room. You always wanted to know how my life was going and how my family was doing. Through conversation when you weren´t joking then you had a solution to every problem. You loved your family so darn much. They were your world and sig was your everything. You were the greatest example of who a husband and a father should be. Mark thank you for your endless jokes, your input on my problems and for never judging me. You never thought of me different. You always accepted me for me. Thank you mark for showing me that life isn´t always peaches and cream. You showed me that life is what you make it and that it doesn´t have to be perfect. Thank you mark for sharing a little part of you with me. You showed me and many others that family is important. I will now cherish every Chicago bears nfl game that comes on tv and crack open a cold Pepsi while watching it. Thank Mark for always looking out for me and for checking on me when you didn´t have to. Forever you will be missed and hold a place in my heart. May you rest in heavenly peace forever more. This isn´t goodbye this is I will see later.

  9. My deepest condolences to Mark’s family. He was a great man and I got to work with him at Midsouth Baking and I remember him talking about his grandkids and how proud he was of them and of course the Chicago Bears. My friend may you rest in peace. Mark Moncivais

  10. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

Our thoughts are with you, dear Siggi, your daughters and their families as well as all other relatives of Mark. Feel embraced from afar. Horst and Katja Mattern
