lorelai adams

November 1, 2007 ~ November 26, 2022

Born in: Naples , Italy
Resided in: Bryan , Texas

Lorelai Faith Adams passed away at her home in Bryan on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the age of 15, surrounded by family and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, 3001 S. College Avenue, Bryan, Texas at 11 am with the funeral service following at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately at RestEver Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan.

Lorelai was born on November 1, 2007, in Naples, Italy, to parents Larry David Adams and Jennifer Adams. At the age of 1, she and her parents moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she spent her toddler years. Then in 2013, at the age of 5, she and her family moved to Bryan, Texas. Lorelai attended elementary school at Sam Houston Elementary, middle school at ILTexas College Station, and started her freshman year in August at Bryan High School.

At the age of 11, during her 5th-grade year, Lorelai was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma. From May 2019 until January 2020, Lorelai went through 8 months of chemo and surgery to remove 7cm of her left ulna. She was declared in remission in January 2020. Unfortunately, in November 2020, during routine scans, it was discovered that Lorelai had relapsed. Lorelai once again started treatment in January 2021 and endured almost 2 years of chemotherapy and radiation to try and get her back into remission. Throughout the last 2 years, Lorelai showed the strength, courage, faith, and hope most adults do not after a cancer diagnosis. Lorelai never lost hope of a cure for her disease.

Lorelai, as a child, loved Disney princesses and Hello Kitty but as she became a teenager, she developed a passion for books, dance, and musical theater. She started dancing at the age of 12 at Shellie Kruger’s Dance Studio and completely fell in love with it. From there she moved on to musical theater and, in the last year, has been in 3 productions at The Theatre Company; Wizard of Oz, Moana Jr., and Descendents. Despite having large bone tumors in both legs and throughout her body, she danced and performed without missing a beat. It was her ability to live her life to the fullest that inspired so many.

Lorelai is survived by her parents, Larry David Adams and Jennifer Yang Adams; younger siblings, a sister Abigail Adams and brother Larry Michael Adams; her paternal grandparents, Larry Charles Adams and Lisa Cumbow Adams; maternal grandparents, Pin Shang Yang and Yaya Kao Yang; and numerous wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family requests attendees to wear purple clothing instead of black to honor Lorelai at the services.
