Resided in: Singleton, Texas

Lili Janice (Jan) Thomson was the third of four children, and the only daughter born to Wade Harrell and Margaret (Bryan) Thomson on March 2, 1937. Jan was an incredibly intelligent woman and graduated near the top of her class from Muleshoe High School in 1954. It was there that she met and married Charles Norman Wilson (Norman) on June 9, 1955. She lived 85 years and died November 19th, 2022.

As an Air Force wife, Jan began her married life traveling the nation with her husband Norman. They were happily married for 65 years and had four children, all boys. Jan was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother. Jan and Norman lived in Singleton, Texas where they owned a dairy farm, and later, a poultry farm. She was a member of the Church at Singleton for more than 50 years and a long-time member of Singleton Community Center.

Jan was devoted to her family and a supporter of her children’s education as an active member of Anderson Booster Club and 4-H. Some of her favorite activities included reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, sightseeing, and watching football (especially the Dallas Cowboys). Jan will be remembered as a loving mom, a doting grandmother, and a fantastic cook.

Jan is survived by three children, Chuck, Shawn, and Chris, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Norman Wilson, her son, Kevin Wayne Wilson, and great-granddaughter, Jayden Lynn Boughner.

Visitation will be at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan on Friday, November 25th at 5 PM and Singleton Church on Saturday, November 26th at 11 AM. Funeral services will be held at the church at Noon and graveside services at 2 PM at the Singleton Cemetery
