Born in: Sherman, Texas
Resided in: College Station, Texas

Larry was born in Sherman, Texas on March 24th, 1952 to Jack and Minnie Casey.  Larry graduated High School in Abernathy, Texas and had called College Station home for the past 30 years.
Larry met and married Anita Kennedy in Abernathy, Texas and joined the US Army from 1976 to 1982. While serving in the Army, Larry was deployed to Camp Casey in South Korea and enjoyed chauffeuring the Lieutenant Colonel around, and growing his art portfolio.
Larry and Anita raised daughters, Carolyn and Amanda, in places such as Lubbock, Waco, and College Station, Texas. One of Larry’s favorite pastimes was betting Carolyn quarters on football games. Quarters lined the entertainment center awaiting the winner, and still to date, dusty quarters lay beneath the TV.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 at 2pm at Waco Memorial Park. Larry will be relayed to rest next to his beloved daughter, Carolyn Casey.
In lieu of flowers, while drinking responsibly, buy a beer and raise a toast to our favorite beer man.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My dear cousin, one of my fondest memories of you is when you came to stay with us a few days during the summer. You were sooo sunburned. I helped put some kind of date sun stuff mom had on your back. You screamed when it hit your back and I fell off the bed laughing. You started laughing too and we had the best time. You told me before you left that you were going to give me the best advice and never forget it. The advice was “don’t get sunburned and go to Aunt Betty’s house”.
We didn’t have much interaction in life because of our large family but you’ve had a special place in my heart since then. Rest well, dear Larry and I know if our Heavenly Father allows for us to see our loved ones when we enter heaven that you hugged your precious Carolyn with fervor. God bless you.

    • Hey dad,
It’s me, your number 2 wingman, your “ride or die”. It was an honor to call you Daddy, and for you to love me unconditionally. Rest easy now, I’ll take the watch from here. Love you, always.
      -Amanda

  2. I always thought of you as a second father. You always made me laugh. Carolyn was taken from us too soon, but now you get to hold her in your arms once again. Rest in peace.

  3. You were always a light…we all had the best times hanging out at the house with Carolyn, Amanda, Anita and you. So many great childhood memories were made there. Give Carolyn BIG hugs from us…Rest in Peace…

  4. I will miss you Larry. I always enjoyed working on your old Dodge pickup. I will cherish all the memories. You were a 2nd father to me, I will see you again one day.

  5. Larry, I love you and miss you. We had some bumpy roads in our 48 years, but with God’s grace we got through them. You hold a special place in my heart always.
