I am grateful to Professor Litz, he prepared me for my final interview for PepsiCo and we saw each other regularly during my 10 year career at PepsiCo. May you rest in heavenly peace Professor.

  6. Its hard to say goodbye to a friend like Kerry. He fought till the end. He was a special and brave person. I am going to miss him so much . i am so glad that i got to be a part of his life. I hope he knows how much he made my life better. Hope he knew how much i cared. Sending love and prayers to the family.

  7. I am saddened with the news of Dr. Litzenberg’s passing. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without the confidence he had in me (as one of my first bosses). His support throughout my Ag Eco career has definitely helped me personally and professionally. I have many fond memories of him and his family and they will remain with me forever.

May you rest in peace, Dr. Litz, and may God bring comfort to your family.

    With love,
    Mary Lindeman Richter

  8. We rejoice in Kerry’s new “ pain free” life. Big brother I will miss you. So very happy we took that vacation together in 2019. Great memories.
Save me a seat in heaven. I will always love you.
    Julie

  9. I still remember Dr. Litz’s kindness and generosity after over 10 years away from the Aggieland. I was fortunate enough to have witnessed his positive energy on a working-daily basis when studying at TAMU. Best prayers sent from across the Pacific. R.I.P.

  10. When I describe my mentors, I only have two… my father and Litz. I came to my faculty role late in my career and met Kerry at a group called WERA. I was anxious about a new environment with such great minds. He was so encouraging and such an inspiration. We shared the boilermaker connection right away and he welcomed me into an academic group that I still consider some of my closest academic and personal friends today. My respect for him only grew from there. I had never met anyone else in academia who demonstrated what it meant to be a professor and teacher the way he did. He was SO committed to his students and everything he did professionally reflected that. He was humble as he would describe how technically backwards he was. Then with a twinkle in his eye, he would blow your mind with some amazing technical innovation he’d incorporated into his teaching or professional life. He was as devoted to his family as he was his students. There was just so much love in him. He will always be a part of what I do.

  11. I am so sorry to learn of the passing of my friend, Dr. Kerry Litzenberg. He was a great friend and colleague, and he will be missed by many people. No student or member of the faculty had a better friend that Dr. “Litz”–as he was called. Heartfelt condolences for his family and other friends. Rest in Peace, my friend.

  12. Kerry was a graduate student at Purdue when I was a new young faculty member. It was a time when the new young faculty and the graduate students spent a lot of time together and we all worked hard and had fun together. Kerry was just fun to be with and then grew quickly into being a wonderful mentor and teacher when he went to A&M. Just knowing that Kerry was there doing so many good things was important to many of us who know him. Whatever the issue or problem, he just made things better than they would have been otherwise. What a loss when we desperately need such skills.

  13. I am deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Litz’s passing. I have many fond memories of him while I was a student in the Ag. Economics department. He was our advisor to the Ag. Economics Club, teacher, mentor, and friend. I enjoyed the California Field Study Tour over spring break with him and other students. He was a great friend and advocate for students. Bless you, Dr. Litzenberg, and your family and friends.

  14. I was a senior at Texas A&M in 1988 when I took Dr. Litz’s sales class. I went to the career day on campus and the company I wanted to work for told me they were not hiring. Dr. Litz told me to put a resume on his desk and 2 days later I was given an interview and hired. I owe my whole career to him. I went back after a few years and judged his sales presentation class. I will never forget him. He was always looking out for the students. We need more professors like him. I loved him.

  15. Class of ‘90

Please know Dr. Litz’s spirit lives on. I’m blessed to be taught by him. My favorite prof and good friend. I’m praying for your family and am thankful for him.

  16. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Litzenberg family. Dr. Litz taught my dad at the beginning of his career at Texas A&M. Then Litz convinced me to switch to AGEC and was a favorite professor of mine. He left a lasting impression on all of his students!

  17. Kerry was a valued member of our faculty in the Ag Economics Department. He was a master teacher, and was respected by his coworkers and his students. His memory will live on with all of us that knew and respected him and the many contributions he made.

  18. Kerry was one of the pioneers and thought leaders in the agribusiness management discipline. He was an early leader and created national platforms for faculty working in the area to engage. In addition, he was a master teacher, truly setting the bar for all of us. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kerry was a terrific, supportive colleague and friend and will be deeply missed. We are very proud of all this distinguished Boilermaker accomplished and extend our thoughts and prayers to his family.

    Jay Akridge

  19. A very nice visitation and service. Kerry was a great educator and good friend, but he had even more passion for his family. He told stories involving his mom to the youngest grandchild almost daily. We miss him.

  20. Dr. Litz was my graduate advisor way back in the ’80s. He nurtured all students with generosity of his spirit and his time, and was a valued mentor and friend. He is surely missed by all the many students he worked with and taught.

  21. Condolences to the family – Dr. Litzenberg was a great professor – y’all have been in our thoughts and prayers!
