Born in: Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas
Resided in: Bryan, Texas

Juventino Martinez Jr., 51, of Bryan passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022.  He was born October 22, 1970 to Juventino Martinez Sr. and Agustina Rojas Martinez in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

For 31 years, Juventino worked for the City of Bryan and was a well-known, reliable and loving colleague.  Juventino and the love of his life of 26 years, Linda Ruiz Martinez loved taking trips together and created unforgettable memories.  Through the years, Juventino enjoyed fishing and being by the water, dancing to Tejano music, and having BBQs at the house with family. -Jr was THE Grill Master of the house, and you just couldn’t resist his BBQ Chicken.

When Juventino Jr. wasn’t working for the city, he was working at home on different projects, always keeping himself busy.  He loved working.  He even loved it so much, that at the age of 8 years old, he got into trouble with his mom for missing school, because he was at work instead.  He was known as a handy man.  If no one could fix it, Jr could fix it, no matter what it was.  As the kids got older, he built a home for his family to gather and remember him, family time was his favorite time.  He taught them to be humble, work hard for the things you want, and to remember where you started.  Anyone could count on Jr. to get the job done right, because he was a perfectionist, always making sure his work was quality.

Juventino will be remembered as a great father, husband, grandfather, manito (little brother), and friend.  He was the true definition of a strong family man and father figure to all.  Anyone that knew Jr, knew he would take the shirt off his own back for someone who needed it.  Juventino Jr. impacted the lives of everyone he came across and leaves behind the greatest legacy.  He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Junior’s spirit is carried on by his wife Linda, sons; Juventino Martinez III, Jordan and Betsy Martinez, Anthony and Jennyfer Martinez: daughters: Barbara and Benito Garcia, April and Thomas Hernandez; grandchildren: Jasmine, Destiny, Sophie, Valentin, Logan, Noah, Benito III, Jacob, Adeline, Joseph, Jordan Jr., Johonni, Azaiah, and Baby Martinez on the way; brother Ricardo Martinez, sisters Yolanda Munoz and Jessica Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his parents Juventino Sr. and Augustina Martinez and sister Maria San Juana Vasquez.
