Julie was born at the Hardin County Hospital in Kountze, TX to Travis Davis Jr. and Marietta Blair. She spent her childhood growing up there with her sister, many cousins and lifelong friends. Julie spent her time on earth as a loving mother and grandmother. Her favorite things to do involved her people; especially her grandkids, church family, extended family, and office staff. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to and singing Southern Gospel music, playing dominoes, shopping for shoes, decorating, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ellis and Mary-Lewis McNeely; paternal grandparents, Travis and Linnie-Rose Davis; father, Travis Davis Jr.; stepfather, Joe Blair; father-in-law WJ Sturm; and other treasured family members.

  1. I am so very sorry to see this. There is an old Indian proverb that says “ When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.” She made it.

  2. I am heartbroken over the loss of Julie. She was an amazing woman and always so sweet and friendly when I was with her. My prayers are for John and the family. May God give you peace and comfort and strength. You are loved.

  3. Prayers for comfort to all the family and friends. Julie was a wonderful person. She had a kind heart and strong faith in the Lord. This is not goodbye, only a ‘see you later’. I can picture our family members gathering around to welcome her to Heaven. My love to you all.

  4. It’s hard to hear and accept when something like this happens so suddenly. I haven’t seen Julie in a while, but the memory of the the person she was and how she treated me (and everyone) has never left me. She was my boss for a year ~2000 and was humble, eager to learn/succeed, gracious, giving and fun-loving. And, most importantly, Julie was my friend. I’m praying for John, the kids and rest of the family. RIP, my Agency 2000 partner.

  5. I met Julie in 1995 when I went to work in the State Farm Agency Field Office in Beaumont. Julie was always upbeat and smiling. Sending heartfelt condolences to Marietta, John, Brandon, Blair and their families. May God wrap you in his loving arms and bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Cherish your sweet memories of Julie.

  6. So sorry to hear of your loss. May God wrap his arms around her family with peace and comfort.
    Rebecca Jernigan Towns

  7. My sincere condolences to the family. I know your hearts are broken. How blessed you were to have her. Now her beauty shines in Heaven as she waits to see you again. And she will.

  8. I am totally lost for words about the passing of our close friend Julie. She was strong, wise, thoughtful, generous, loving and OH MY GOODNESS she loved her Lord and Savior. She was talented beyond measure and the best friend and neighbor anyone could wish for. I will miss her so much but know we will be reunited one glorious day. My prayers now will be for John and her loving family♥️ Like a good neighbor she was ALWAYS there for me.

  9. One of the hardest things we face on this earth is losing someone we love, but we know that we can never love them like God does for He gave His son so that we may have everlasting life in Heaven! This beautiful woman will certainly be missed by all who knew her! Rest In Peace Julie!

  10. I am so very sorry for your family’s loss! May The Peace that passes understanding be with you all as you grieve and process it all.
    Sanna and Tony Lilburn

  11. Julie was a very special person. She will be missed but the imprint she left on our hearts remains. I’m so glad we had the chance to meet.

  12. John, Blair, Brandon….I am so very very sorry for the passing of Julie. I am still in shock. We are praying for God to comfort your entire family. We love you, Kenneth and Sue Work Lindeman

  13. Crushed by the sudden loss of Julie. Julie was a rock of consistency, support, and love for those of us who benefited from being close to her. We will miss you greatly. Prayers for John and her sweet family. Lord, teach us to number our days, so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

  14. I’m so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Julie.
I had not seen her in years, but so many fond memories of slumber parties at her house and mine.
Prayers and condolences for John and all of the family.
I know she will be missed and was much loved by all.

  15. Where do I even start. Julie has been a huge part of my life since before I can even remember. As I think about major milestones in my life, Julie and John were always there. Always the first to arrive in good times and in bad. Julie supported me, Galynn, my parents, and my daughter. I will forever treasure the memories until we meet again in Heaven. Our prayers are with you, family.

  16. Julie was my insurance agent for many years. She ran her office so proficiently and was always kind and helpful. I will miss her!
