My dad recently told me about the passing of my childhood friend Joe’s father, Jose Sr. I know time heals pain, but the loss of a parent bears a special weight that takes a lifetime to heal. My love and condolences to your family, Joe.

On December 12th, 2021, Jose E. Guajardo passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Originally born in San Antonio, TX on June 11th, 1945, the family relocated to Bryan, TX when he
was just 8 years old. He became a carpenter and was always sought after for his hard work ethic
and his attention to detail. In February of 1971 he met the love of his life and they went on to
marry on December 16th, 1972. Shortly thereafter they purchased a home in Bryan and had
three children (the youngest being their favorite). He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Felisa O.
Guajardo. His 3 children, Sylvia Santos, Eva Shafique, and Jose O. Guajardo Jr. and their respective
spouses and children.
