On Saturday, May 6th Joe Larry Locke passed away in his home, surrounded by the love of his life and son. Services will be held at Callaway Jones Funeral home in Bryan on Wednesday, May 10th at 11 am, with a public visitation at 10:00 am. Joe Larry will be buried at Restever Memorial Cemetery in the mausoleum in a private family service.
Joe Larry was born in Bryan to Joe Thomas & Grace Locke. Larry graduated Texas A&M University in 1963 and married his life time soul mate on July 21, 1967. Larry and Sharon had one son, Kelly Joe born in 1977. Larry was a forty-year volunteer to the Bryan Police Reserves program from 1966-2006. Larry was a Master Mason with Sul Ross Lodge 1300 and was an active member of many organizations over the years from shooting & hunting clubs to professional groups such as Brazos County Appraisal District. Larry lead an active life full of travel and friendships. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, amazing father, great friend and man above & beyond reproach.
Larry was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents. Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon, son Kelly and wife Leigh, granddaughters Emily & Ellie Locke and step grandchildren Blake, Ryan, Tyler & Bryleigh Burtin.
