Janie Narro (Miranda), aged 75, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, in Bryan, Texas. Born on March 11, 1949, in the same city, she devoted over 30 years to the Bryan Independent School District in custodial services, a role she fulfilled with dedication and pride.
Janie was a faithful wife, a selfless mother, and a loving grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her husband, Benson Narro; daughters, Lydia Mackey and Lindsey Ybarra; sons-in-law, Scott Mackey and Michael Ybarra Sr.; grandchildren, Benson, Sieana, Nathan, Michael Jr., Natalya, Marc, Serenity, Jaiden, Aubrey, Josh, Mia, and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Santi, and Skyla. Her siblings, Mary Alice Sanchez, Johnny Miranda, Connie Rodriguez, Mary Ontiveros, Hope Garcia, and Mike Miranda, also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan C. Miranda and Epifania Flores Miranda; siblings, Elida Garcia, Lala Perez, and Tina Baez; and son-in-law, Daniel L. Gonzales.
A woman of faith, Janie’s spiritual devotion was a guiding light for her family and all who truly knew her. Her hobbies included a love for holiday decorating, spending quality time with her grandchildren, keeping her house in immaculate condition, and enjoying her favorite shows, “The Price is Right” and “Rachel Ray.”
The Rosary will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas, followed by the service at 1:30 PM. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 2:30 PM the same day. Callaway-Jones Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time

Prayers to the Narro family. My sister Janie was born a twin to my brother Johnny. There were three sets of twins in our immediate family. She was the lucky one to of been born a twin to our only brother. Rest in peace my sister you will be forever missed.
