On March 16 2022, Janet Kay Sherer Martin, 74, closed her eyes for a peaceful and eternal slumber. Her family will receive guests during visiting hours from 11am to 1pm, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

She devoted her heart and life to loving and nurturing others. Her passion for education and legacy of that sweet, southern kind of love will expend to many further generations through the lives of those blessed enough to be hugged and loved by her.

She is survived by her sister Kathryn R. Harrison. Daughter Tracey A. Heusinkveld( husband John), son Peter K Martin II (wife Melissa), son John W. Martin, nieces Jennifer Harrison (wife Maddy) and Ashely Harrison. Grandsons Jacob Snyder )wife Maegan), Jared and Jackson Snyder, Noah and Brooks Martin, great grandchildren, Wyatt and Sutton Snyder.
