Jana Lanette Dominguez, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and adored Nana, died unexpectedly in her home on the evening of April 18, 2021 at the age of 61.

Jana is survived by her loving mother Juanette Gaydon; her best friend and husband Johnnie Dominguez Jr.; her children John Jason Dominguez and wife Alma, Johnnie Dominguez III and wife Heather, and Jennifer Nicole Estrada and husband Matthew; her grandchildren Briana, Aidan, Jayce, Mckinley, James, Riley, Ian, Addison, and Zane.

Jana is preceded in death by her doting Daddy, John Alan Gaydon.

Jana was born on January 13, 1960 in Palestine, TX. Her family moved to Navasota where she would reside for the remainder of her life. First and foremost our Mamma (Jana) was the best Mamma anyone could ever wish for. She stood up for us all in ANY situation, and raised us all to be very strong individuals. “Family First” was always her motto no matter what. Jana was a very talented seamstress, opening her own clothing store, but eventually pursued a career in Nursing, which she found very fulfilling. She touched the lives of so many without even comprehending the effects she had on them. Medical conditions forced her into an early retirement where she embraced being an amazing Nana, wife, Mamma, dog mom, and woman of faith. Jana was also revered for her culinary abilities, always whipping up the best homemade food you ever tasted. There was always something delicious coming from her kitchen. Jana was known for her witty, outspoken personality, she lit up a room and livened it with her presence. She was boldly honest and you always knew exactly what she was thinking. Jana was happily married to the love of her life for what would’ve been 44 years in July this year. Mamma was the rock in our family, always had been, and she will be missed immensely.

Upon her request there will be no services. Jana was a very lovely, strong, bold woman, and her request was that you celebrate her life in your own way with Metallica playing in the background.

Rest in eternal peace Mamma. We love and miss you so much, but we’re comforted by knowing someday we will all be together again.

  1. I just found this site today and I’m so sorry I didn’t find it earlier. I miss getting emails on a daily basis. I have kept the one I got the day before she left life as we know it to go be with her Dad as well as her Grandma and Grandpa Gaydon who were all waiting with open arms as well as the Lord Jesus Christ. I miss you Jana!
