James Theron McKinzie, age 75, of Bryan, Texas passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born October 25, 1948, in Comanche, Texas to Theron and Ruby (Williams) McKinzie. He graduated from Eastland High School and attended Tarleton State University for two years before enlisting in the U.S Navy. For the majority of his career, he was stationed at NAS Lemoore, California. After serving for 30 years, James retired as Master Chief and returned to his home state of Texas to be closer to family.

James is survived by his wife of 46 years Colleen; two daughters, Jennifer Holle (Clayton) and Diana Johnston (Shane) and three grandchildren, Braden, Abigail, and Chloe. As well as a sister, Marilyn Bouquet and family of Seguin, TX.

James McKinzie was a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be missed by those who knew him, but never forgotten.
