Jimmy was born in Augsburg, Germany on August 4, 1971 to Robert Loyd and Margorie (Green) Henson. He attended Texas A&M University for several years. Jimmy was a cowboy from the beginning to the end. Roping and raising good heading/heeling horses brought him much happiness and joy which led him to managing ranches and day-working for many years. Knowing that wasn’t a career that would provide for his family, Jimmy found another passion as a pipeline inspector. Jimmy was a pipeline inspector for more than two decades. He was known and respected for his honesty and integrity. He held NACE, ISNetworld/NCCER, API 1169, and recently obtained his CWI certification. Jimmy traveled all over the US doing what he loved, providing for his family and always anticipating the next visit from loved ones. Jimmy was a Master Mason and belonged to both the Milano and Bremond Masonic Lodges. Jimmy had a solid christian faith; he and his wife Stephanie were members of Brazos Fellowship in College Station.

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his wife, Stephanie, his children, parents, siblings and all those who knew and loved him. Jimmy’s love and loyalty to family and friends, his powerful testimony, his unfailing work ethic, his generosity, his wild entertaining stories about ranching/day-work on Ole’ Rebel, the interesting tales of all the pipeline “safety meetings” and appreciation for good bourbon will never be forgotten.

To honor Jimmy’s final wishes, the family plans to celebrate his life by sharing memories and laughter on Saturday, August 28th at Smitty K’s in College Station, TX at 6:30p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Henson Memorial Fund.
