April 13, 1938 ~ July 4, 2023

Born in: Bustamante, Mexico
Resided in: Bryan, Texas

Gregorio Villarreal, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.  Gregorio was a graduate of the bible college, Instituto Biblico Magdiel, Matamoros, Tamp.  Gregorio was very passionate about his ministry, family, and music.  He was a philosophical analyst of the bible, car engine, musical arrangement, and any topic that could be debated. Gregorio and his surviving wife were a young pastoral duo for several churches throughout Texas, Illinois and Michigan and thrived in their ministry until their large family grew as well as Gregorio’s musical aspirations.  Gregorio’s zest for life included composing many musical heartfelt tracks that inspired and touched many until an untimely accident in 2013 that slowly ended much of Gregorio’s talents for his music.  His innermost beautiful persona was then brought to the forefront, full of patience, serenity, and peace, and he lived the last few years of his life in this beautiful manner. Gregorio’s talents were many including an accomplished minister, musician, philosopher, craftsman, husband, father/grandfather, and beloved friend who loved to entertain.  He is survived by his one and only, Rosa Elia, of 61 years; son, Daniel Villarreal; daughter, Martha Gonzalez; daughter, Juanita Villarreal; son, Greg Villarreal; daughter, Cathy Casares; and son, Samuel Villarreal; and numerous grandsons and granddaughters.  The family would like to express our thanks for the heartfelt prayers, support and tributes to our wonderful, beloved father, Gregorio.  We will miss you, daddy.
