Frank E. Simmen, Jr., 92, of Bryan, formerly of Houston, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Bryan. Graveside service will begin at 10am, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at The Shelter of Memorial Cemetery of College Station – Aggie Field of Honor, 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway, College Station. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Frank was born in Galveston, Texas on January 7, 1930, to his parents Frank and Homoiselle Tolex Simmen. He attended Texas A&M College from 1947-1951 and after graduation spent two years in the Army. He went on to have a very successful career in the insurance industry working with American National Insurance Company for over 50 years.
His parents, and brother, Edward Simmen, all preceded him in death.
Frank is survived by his wife of 69 years, Hennie Sue Simmen; his sons, Frank E. Simmen, III and wife Melinda, Will Simmen and wife Heather; his grandchildren, Cole Simmen, Sloane Simmen, Dane Simmen; and other relatives and friends.
Honoring the life of Frank as pallbearers are Frank Simmen, III, Will Simmen, Dane Simmen, Frank Vandiver, Bill Brown, Bill Jackson, and Cole Simmen.
