Ernest Bernal, 85, of College Station, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Visitation will be on November 15, 2021 from 5-7 pm, funeral service will be on November 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm and burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Ernest married Molly Vaquera and together had three children Normal Lopez, Yolanda Arredondo and Ernest Bernal Jr. They were married for 50 years until her passing on June 1st, 2007. Enest met Lupe Rubio 10 years ago and they wed in September of 2016 and were together until his passing.
Ernest was proceeded in death by his parents Higinio and Lillie Bernal, three brothers; Fred, Felix and Jesse Bernal, three sisters; Lydia Rodriguez, Janie Moreno and Armela Jaramillo. Ernest is survived by his wife Lupe Rubio; one brother Arthur Bernal and his wife Rose of Houston, Texas; one sister Mary Grimaldo of Bryan, Texas; three children Norma and husband Ramon Lopez of Fort Worth, Texas, Yolanda and husband Martin Arredondo of Bryan, Texas, and Ernest Bernal Jr. Ten grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are Lupe Rubio’s adult children Celestino, Augustine, Veronica, and Pat.
