Emeterio “Julio” Tejera, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5th in Bryan, Tx. Emeterio was born on August 28,1924 in Alacranes Matanzas, Cuba. He was a brother, husband, father, and grandfather to many. He worked in the Military for over 30 years in Cuba and was considered a war hero. After Castro took over Cuba Julio came to the states with his family and settled down in Texas. The discipline and self sufficiency he gained from being in the military he applied it to his work as well as all other aspects of his life. Wherever he went he always ensured to work hard, he took pride in his work. He worked for Texas a&m retired from there and worked for Ninfas for a few more years after that. He loved spending time with his family, he loved to have his house full of all his loved ones. He enjoyed taking his wife out to dances, he always had a way of lighting up the room. Emeterio is survived by Maria Tejera, Wife, Ivan Tejera, Son, Rudy Tejera, Son, Chury Tejera, Son, Ronald Tejera, Son, Norma Padron, Stepdaughter, Linda Henegar, Stepdaughter.
