Elanore Elaine Fodor

Elanore Elaine Fodor, 80, passed away on June 19, 2023, at Franklin Nursing Home in Franklin, Texas. She was born on July 24, 1942, in Grants, New Mexico to Frank and Carrie Lewis Essinger. She proudly served in the US Army from 1970 thru 1991, retiring as an E8 Master Sgt. She loved her country and was very patriotic. She also enjoyed serving her community and worked for the Brazos County Sheriff’s Department and Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Her favorite pastime was showing dogs, Manchester to be exact, and proudly won several awards at dog shows.

Elanore was preceded in death by her father, Frank Essinger; her mother, Carrie Lewis Essinger; and her brother, Reese Essinger. She is survived by her children, Martin Lynn Dobbs, Jeanne Simon and Lisa Dobbs; Her grandchildren, Shawndel Blakemore, Aaron Fodor, Thomas Musick, Levi Dobbs, Craig Dobbs and Sara Dobbs; and by her sister, Katherine Essinger Maine. A graveside service with full military honors will be done to honor her at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas soon.
