Douglas Clarke Mackey, 72, of Bedias, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Bedias. The family will host a private memorial service and bury his remains in the family plot in Nebraska.
Doug was born November 27, 1949, in Owatonna, Minnesota to Robert and Geraldine Brady (Mackey Eiring). He served 9 years in the US Navy and retired from engineering firm Bechtel Power after 15 years of employment.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings; David Neitzel, Dennis Neitzel, Suzanna Wood, Tim Frank and Greg Frank.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Deanne Mackey; son, Aaron Mackey; daughter, Heather Mackey Phelps and husband Timothy; grandchildren, Sarah Brummett, Austin Brummett, and Katelyn Phelps.
