Born in: Bryan, Texas
Resided in: Humble, Texas

Four days after my husband’s death, Archbishop Glouster, it is difficult as a mother to announce my daughter’s passing, Donna Denise Hodge, 44, of Humble, formerly of Bryan, Texas. She was received into the loving arms of our Creator God, and Father on Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Humble. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the start of her Life Tribute Celebration at 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station. Interment will follow in Bryan City Cemetery. Honoring Donna’s request, I will officiate her homegoing service.

Donna D. Hodge was born on May 8, 1977, in Bryan, Texas. She was a strong independent woman who provided for her family. Donna recognized early in life she must lean and depend on God for security, comfort and peace. This she would pass on to her two children JaCory and Jordan. Her children became her whole life as she wanted to give them a world free of fear and a sound foundation in Christian Life. Donna followed her heart of service to others; she was employed in the telecommunications industry for 15+ years. We will miss her smile, her quick wit, and radiant personality of unconditional love. Our heart is heavy with sadness for her children and family, but we know in faith our Donna is resting in peace and free of pain.

Preceding Donna in death are her grandparents; her stepfather, Archbishop Glouster Brooks; her aunt Mary Thornton, Aunt Nettie Fields and her uncle Jimmy Thornton.

Left to cherish her legacy are her mother JoeAnna T. Brooks, father Reginald Hodges, children, JaCory D. Adkins and Jordan D. Adkins; her sisters, Cinitra D. Hodge, and LaTasha D. Stewart (Antaun Stewart); brother’s, Reginald Jr., Joshua, Kevin, and Tierre Hodges; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
