Dennis James Sweatt, 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born on April 12, 1947 in East Chicago, IN to James Lloyd and Olga Jean Sweatt. He grew up in Dallas, TX and graduated from North Texas State University with a BA in engineering. Dennis moved to Bryan, TX in 1980. He enjoyed building and working on cars, motorcycles, guns, cannons, and anything that was fast or blew-up. Dennis is survived by his twin sister Pat Cleveland, wife of 48 years Janet, son Michael, daughter Cassandra, and grandchildren Mat, Nathan, Nicole, Julian, and Rachel. Dennis’ ashes will be shot out of a Civil War era cannon during a private ceremony.

My sympathies on the passing of Dennis, especially for Janet! What a fitting and unique way to disperse his ashes in an official era cannon! My prayers for the family to celebrate the wonderful memories during these difficult days
