Deborah Ann Bomnskie, 70, of Bryan, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday May 25 at Callaway Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Services will be at 2pm Friday May 26 at Central Church of Christ in Bryan. Debbie will be laid to rest with her oldest son, Bradley Ray, at the Bryan City Cemetery.
Debbie was born on March 4, 1953 in Wharton, Texas. She graduated from SFA in 1971 and married Ray Bomnskie on December 10, 1971. Debbie was a loving wife and wonderful mother to her children and an adored Gigi to her ten grandchildren.
Debbie was a passionate student of God’s word. She dedicated herself to the study and teaching of scripture. She is remembered for coming up with unique ways to memorize scriptures that many still can sing and recite years after being taught! Debbie adored her family.
If given the option, she wanted to be spending time with Ray and the kids and grandkids. She loved cooking meals, going on trips, spending time swimming, reading, and playing with each of them. Her children and grandchildren knew they were a priority and deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Bobbie McGuire, and her son, Bradley Ray.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ray Bomnskie, son, Brent Bomnskie and wife Jamie, daughters, Brooke Avery and husband Andrew, and Brandy Hall and husband Kenny; ten grandchildren; Garrett Avery, Braden Bomnskie, Nathan Avery, Kambrie Bomnskie, Carter Avery, Kenna Hall, Brogan Bomnskie, Rilyn Bomnskie, Blakeley Hall, and Bristol Avery.
Memorials may be made to Heart of Acara Foundation, 601 Graham Road, College Station, TX 77845. They were a tremendous blessing to the family in the final weeks of Debbie’s life.

Memories of Debbie will be cherished. Our hearts are with you all during this time of sorrow. May the Lord bless you with strength and comfort knowing we will all be together again someday. Debbie will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever! What a life well lived, and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her! We are so very heartbroken about losing Debbie. I know she leaves a big void in all our hearts and lives. She brought us so much joy and she brought us the Lord too! Debbie is my very best friend….and will always be so. Even though we are now separated, we will always be together in Christ.
