David was born on September 7, 1953 in Bryan, Texas to W.O. Lightsey and Ruth McClain Lightsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his wife and best friend Amanda E Lightsey and his daughter Joanna Ruth Lightsey, son Kelly Lee Lightsey and daughter-in-law Joanna Florida Lightsey, grandchildren Logan, Jonathan, Charlie, and Christen Joyce Lightsey and his brother Floyd Lightsey and wife Patricia Lightsey, along with numerous cousins, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, 11:00am, at Callaway Jones Funeral Center Bluebonnet Chapel with Life Celebrant Dawn Lee Wakefield officiating.
