Danny Joe Robey

Danny (“Dan”) Joe Robey passed away peacefully at his home in Bryan on Monday, February 13, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones after a yearlong battle with heart failure.  Visitation will begin at 10am, until the time of service at 11am, Friday, February 17, 2023, at Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Dan was born to John and Ruth Short Robey in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 15, 1952 – he was the youngest of two children.

Dan was a man with a lot of drive to work. He quit school in the 8th grade to begin working and eventually at an early age of 17 he managed to find himself enlisted in the US Army and off to Vietnam. Dan served three years and returned to the USA.  When he came back from service he kept working hard. He was a tractor trailer driver for years and a paint contractor as well.

Dan enjoyed listening to AM news talk radio and sharing scriptures from his Bible with others. We look forward to when the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing – 1 Cor 15:26.  Dan will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Jenny; stepdaughters, Ilse and Francesca; stepsons, Sean and John; and other family and friends.
