  8. Melinda,

This is Dereck Borders and maybe you remember but I lived in the trailer on Lakeside across from you and Daniel when he was just a little fella and I was a student at A&M. He was always over at our house and me and the guys loved him. Momma would bring him prizes and before she passed many times she often wondered how you guys were. His saying everytime she came and he’d bust through my trailer door was “Hi, Member me old Daniel Loggins over her” and she loved it. So she’d ask I wonder what happened to Old Daniel Loggins over here. Anyway we have thought of you both over the years and today sadly Beverly found his obituary online. Just know you both have always been in our hearts and memories and we were saddened by his passing but rejoiced to see what a fine young man he’d become. The world was a better place because of “old Daniel Loggins over here” We will be keeping you in our prayers at this difficult time and we know that Daniel is now telling the Lord ” Hi member me Old Daniel Loggins over here” and I know the Lord is smiling and saying “yes I member you and welcome home” We will be praying the Lord grants you comfort at this time. Dereck B.

    • Oh my gosh! Derek I think of you often when I pass the taxidermy. Please reach out to me on Facebook messenger so we can exchange numbers and talk.
