I remember Betty Ann waking me with a big laugh at Grandma Schultz’s around 1964. We had spent the night and I had been sleeping on a sofa in the rear hallway. I was 10 or 11 at the time. Betty will be missed.
My mom Victoria, my sister-in-law Elishia, and I drove down to Corpus Christi in 2009 to attend Johanna’s wedding. We had not seen my dad‘s side of the family in a while, so we were certainly looking forward to it. Mom and I finally spied Betty Ann at the far end of the hall. When I got her attention and we started walking toward toward each other, she greeted us with the brightest, happiest smile I have ever seen. She said she was so glad to see us as, we were to see her. When I think of Betty Ann, that moment of pure joy is the picture I see in my mind. May God bless Betty Ann and all those who loved her.
