I just learned of Barbara’s passing when I went to Fortress to visit her today after returning from a trip. I cannot convey how sad I was, as she had become, not only a friend to my mother, Bonnie Nichols, but to me as I came to visit. What a fun lady she was and always taking care of everyone around her. Truly she was such a great friend to my mother and I could feel peaceful when I left knowing that Barbara was watching over her. I will miss going to see her and enjoying her stories. Her smile lit up a room!
