  1. So sorry to hear this. Ann was a great friend to my mother, Lucy Hack.

As a child, we had many happy times with the Criswells, trying out recipes, playing Tripoley, and having fun.

  2. As a sibling of Pat and Ann Bogan (Cox), growing up in the Methodist Church in Mineola, and going to school with the “other” Ann (Minick) Criswell. I’ll never forget her smile! It would light up a room. The older group had such wonderful times together at MHS. All through the years, the Ann’s kept in close touch with other, phoning occasionally and talking for long times.
I called Ann a few times in between. We were all stressed after Ann moved to Brian, and finally found her. However, she was
apparently very sick. Just to let the family know, our Elizabeth Ann (Bogan) Cox died suddenly Nov. 20th, so now they are dancing with the other angels.

  3. As a former Chronicle employee, I remember Ann Criswell with fond memories. She had a great spirit about her. She was generous with her time and talent. Ann was dedicated to her craft, her readers and her fellow employees. She was one of the people I missed, when I left the Chron. May God rest her.

  4. My prayers are with the Criswell family. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with her when I worked at Tony’s Restaurant. She was a superb food writer who had passion for food and restaurants in Houston. I am proud to say I knew her.
