Albert was born in Houston, TX to Maria Alicia Medina and Victor Ojo De Agua Caudillo on January 3, 1962. He was the youngest of two Caudillo siblings to be born in Houston. The Caudillo Family moved to Bryan when the boys were elementary school age. Albert attended Sul Ross Elementary, Lamar, Carver, SFA, and then graduated Bryan High School in 1980.
Caudillo was drafted to work in the family business of shoes and boots repair. Albert was the third generation of the cobbler’s life originating from León Guanajuato, Mexico, considered the global shoe capital. It’s known for their local cobblers and shoemakers passed their craftsmanship from one generation to another. It was Albert’s choice to end it here. In Bryan, Albert, in following his father’s line of work, was considered “the other guys” when Aggie Cadets would order their customized Senior Boots for their senior year in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Albert took pride working with William and Angel as the former owner of Victor’s Shoe and Boot Repair. In the business, he repaired all shoes and boots, along with purses, suitcases to sewing patches on jackets. Also, thanks to Angel, cowboy hats were steam pressed to fit the customer. Albert would also recommend his competitors if he believed he could not repair the item himself. Unfortunately, Albert had to close the business in 2017 due to health issues. Albert was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Albert was preceded in death by his father, Victor Ojo De Agua Caudillo, Jr., and his brother, Victor Ojo De Agua Caudillo, lll.
Albert is survived by his mother, Maria Alicia Medina Caudillo; his son, A. Matthew P. Caudillo: his mother of his children, Christina Ybarra; his stepson Marc and his wife, Elena; his stepdaughter, Natalie and her husband John; four grandchildren, Lucilla, Lana, Lola, Eevie; Uncle Guillermo Caudillo of McAllen, Aunt Carmen Castille of Louisiana, Uncle Raymond Medina of Houston, and many cousins.

Dear Albert, worked so hard to keep the family business afloat. Even on Sundays cleaning up with your son, who you were so proud of. Christina and family, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. Enjoyed all those years talking over the fence. Prayers to the family.
