Mary Ida Rose Smith, born June 28, 1933, in Rogers, Texas to Dewey Rose and Rosa McCoy Rose. She was beloved Mother, Grandmother, to five generations she loved dearly. She loved and taught us about God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. She set an example in life for us to follow. Her love was unconditional. Mary was an active church member. She worked at Teas A&M University Fiscal Office for thirty years. Mary truly loved getting together with her family and friends, visiting, and singing praises to her God. She loved reading her Bible daily, doing crossword puzzles and reading books. We are sad and loved her very much but are at peace with her parting from this world to the next.
Preceding her in death are her husband David Wayne Smith; her parents Dewey and Rosa Rose; all her siblings three sisters and one brother.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David Wayne and April Smith; daughters Mary Catherine Masters, Deborah Lynn and husband Henry Dwain Cooper; her grandchildren; and other close relatives.
