I’m sorry to hear that Marq passed. Marq was a Good, Good Man. God Bless you guys.
We lost a great man in the passing of Marq. I was honored to have worked with Marq for the past 15 years. He was a great friend and coworker he will be dearly missed. Prayers for the family.
My heart is broken. I remember Marq in my favorite childhood memories. Hot summers in Madisonville before fire ants took over the state of Texas. I remember barefoot games of rope swing jumping off the old shed or hide and seek at dusk with flashlights. He was the older cousin full of life. I was the scrawny tomboy cousin who would visit for a month in the summer. He always included me in his adventures. I don’t know why. But I’m glad he did. I didn’t mind crawling under the pier and beam to watch him coax out a lost dog . Or sit next to an ant hill while he allowed his pet horned toad to have dinner in the blazing Texas sun. He was the older brother I never had. The “Twilight Zone ” was less scary when he was there. A natural athlete . He was good at every sport he tried. I was full of admiration and still am. He made marriage, fatherhood and adult responsibility look easy . Picked out the best girl as his wife and had 4 fine boys . His family was everything. I’m glad he was my cousin and my mentor. Always will be remembered.
