Lera Michelle Mounce

Lera Michelle Mounce, 52, of Hearne went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was born on April 25, 1967 in Hearne to her parents, John and Barbara Mounce. She worked at TEEX for six years. Michelle spent time gardening and loved flowers. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Michelle was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Mounce; mother, Barbara Crook; grandparents, Bud and Ethel Martin; and her aunt, May Martin.

Michelle is survived by her children, Maraiah Pena (Rafael), Marisa Montelongo (Jake Flannery), Noah Montelongo; and 4 grandchildren, Gunner Flannery, Dario Pena, Henley Pena, and Walker Flannery; and many friends.

The visitation will be held 10a.m.-11a.m Monday, May 20th with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at River of Life Church, 601 E. 2nd Street, Hearne, TX 77859.     Michelle and I were such good friends during our school years, and while distance and time pulled us apart, I was blessed to be able to reconnect with her these past few years. Michelle loved her kids and grandchildren fiercely. I was blessed to call her friend. I cannot begin to convey how much I will miss her, but I know that her last breath here was her first in Heaven because I remember when she was saved. I will continue to pray for you all.
