Kayla Shae Martinez

Kayla Martinez, 28, of Bryan, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 in Bryan. A visitation will be 6:30 to 8p.m., on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bryan. Funeral service will be at 10:30a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the church. Funeral services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Kayla was born to David Martinez and Wendy Belke in Bryan, Texas. Kayla truly loved her children and they completed her world. She had an interest in gardening as she had a natural green thumb. She had a special affection for animals. She shared a unique bond between her and her late father, David Martinez.

Kayla is survived by her husband Trevor Maurer; her children Meredith Maurer and Shon Maurer; her grandmother whom she loved dearly Lupe Martinez; step-mother Gracie Martinez; her siblings Amy Martinez, Christopher Martinez, De-Ette Martinez, Lillian Miyashita, Kimberly Squires and Priscilla Squires; and other relatives and close friends.

        I humbly come to tell you that waking up in the morning knowing you’re no longer here makes me feel as though life is full of unfortunate suprises in occurence of how to never know what may become of the next day. Please from above try and stay close to me and everyone else that has come to understand you making us all at ease with what you can. As I predict you now can see what happens to us all.

  10. I knew Kayla during my high school years. She was a laid back girl that got along with everybody in school. She never judged anyone. Even though everyone goes their own ways. Kayla would talk to you like she has never stopped knowing one another. We love her dearly and she will be deeply missed. Now she is in peace with God in heaven watching over her loved ones. Our memories of her will live on forever.
