Katie Brown, 31, of College Station, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in College Station. A visitation will begin at 5 pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center. Funeral service will begin at 10 am, Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1200 Foxfire Drive, College Station, TX.

Katie was born to Pam and William Edmonds Jr., on April 7, 1988, in Houston, Texas. She was baptized at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Houston on May 8, 1988 by Pastor Clifford Horn. Katie was confirmed at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Humble, TX on April 29, 2001 by Pastor Mark Behring. She was the sister to Scott Edmonds, Lauren Edmonds and Parker Edmonds, and Sister in Law to Sierrah Edmonds. She grew up in Humble, Texas and graduated from Humble High School in 2006. She continued her education at Texas A&M University in College Station, earning a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health, class of 2010. She then completed the nursing program at Tarleton State University earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing as a registered nurse in 2012.

Katie was married to Matthew Brown, son of Gena and Kevin Brown, on June 22, 2013 in College Station, TX at A&M United Methodist Church. Together they had three children. Allie Katherine, Connor James, and Madelyn LeeAnn, they all completed her life.

Katie was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station, TX where she had many dear friends. She practiced nursing at the Central Texas Endoscopy Center in College Station, TX. She was also a favored Trunk Keeper for Matilda Jane Clothing Co. She loved hosting events and found joy in the community she had with MJ. More than anything, Katie desired to be a wife and a mom. She considered this her highest calling and greatest joy. She loved being with her family and celebrating all of the little things. She was in the details, always thoughtful and caring. Katie had a big, generous heart and truly put others before herself.

Katherine LeeAnn Brown is preceded in death by Linda Lee Bowles and William Carlton Withrow.

Katherine LeeAnn Brown is survived by her husband Matthew Wayne Brown and their children Allie Katherine, Connor James, and Madelyn LeeAnn, parents Pam and William Edmonds, Jr., siblings Scott and Sierrah Edmonds, Lauren Edmonds, and Parker Edmonds, grandparents Mary and William Edmonds, Sr., and Dolores Withrow, nieces and nephews, Lucas Sloan, William Edmonds, Elizabeth Sloan, and Isabella Edmonds. She is also survived and loved by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

  16. I met Katie in May at Matilda Jane home office. We stuck together the entire trip. I am so very sad to hear this. She was such a sweetheart and a ray of sunshine. My prayers are going up for her family.

She was a joy to work with and I watched over her when she was pregnant with Allie fussing if she was doing something that I didn’t think she should do.
