James Smith Duckett Jr.

James S. Duckett Jr., died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, in his home surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers-Bryan/College Station.
James was born to James Duckett Sr., and Margaret Ozment Duckett in Waco, Texas. A self-educated man, James was an entrepreneur who deeply loved to travel. He sought to explore and find gastronomic adventures in Hong Kong, Paris, Kenya, Australia, Tahiti, Colombia, and Turkey, among many other destinations. He visited every continent except Antartica.
He was an incredible father to his two daughters whom he loved unconditionally; he was blessed with six grandchildren whom he adored. James and Margaret, his parents, precede him in death.
He is survived by his children Shannon Erin, Tara Deirdre McBee and husband Robert; grandchildren Alexandra, Mairéad, Connor, Maxwell, Scarlett, and Penelope Jane; his brothers Walter Duckett, Glen and wife Cheryl Duckett; and close friends of the family.
