Gisela Mahoney

Dr. Gisela Mahoney Ph. D, 81, of College Station, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Navasota Nursing and Rehab. A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, at Wellborn Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Horine officiating.

Gisela was born January 16, 1930 in Berlin, Germany. She worked for Texas A&M University and A&M Consolidated High School before her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy M. Arnold; half-sister, Helga Sheppard; and grandchildren, Ariel Arnold Garcia and Dawn Rose Arnold Garcia.

Memorials in Gisela’s name may be made to the Brazos Animal Shelter at 2207 Finfeather Rd., Bryan, TX 77801.


  1. We are Alice Mithcham’s nephew and niece and we would see Mrs. Mahoney when we came to get Alice. We are so sorry for your loss and will miss seeing your mother and grandmother.
