Frances L. “Lucy” Wilson

Frances L. “Lucy” Wilson, 90, of Bryan, TX passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. She was born on January 1, 1929 in Maroa, Illinois to her parents, Kenneth and Lela Allen. Lucy loved planting her yearly garden and was known to can vegetables and cook large fresh meals for anyone and everyone. She enjoyed sharing her crops and visiting around her table with family and friends. She was an avid reader and spent hours in her reading room with her books and an occasional glass of wine. Lucy had a quick wit and a silver tongue. She had a heart of gold and a large personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ralph E. Wilson.

Lucy is survived by her children, Dan Wilson and wife, Sandy, Diane Green and husband, Duane, Debra Wilson and partner, Marcia Prothe, Delayne Wilson, Dana Wilson and fiancée, Candy, Derek Wilson and wife, Kim, Joe Wilson and wife, Tracy; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Allen and wife, Effie; sister-in-law, Fairy Wilson; several generations of nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. Arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station. Express condolences at CallawayJones.com

  3. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Lucy. I was blessed to have known her, even if for a short time. She was firey lady who brought a smile to my face many days. Prayers for the Wilson family.
