Fannie Mae Schultz

Fannie Mae Schultz, 83, of Bryan passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Rowlett, TX. She was born on August 30, 1935 in Crockett, TX to her parents, George Alford Hobson and Evie Mae Broxson Hobson. Fannie Mae was an animal enthusiast and adored her favorite cat, Samantha. She had an amazing ability to create and maintain life-lasting friendships. Fannie Mae will be missed by all who knew her.

Vernon Lee Schultz skated into Fannie Mae’s life in 1951 at the local roller skating rink in Bryan. They married in 1952 and had 60 loving years together until his death in 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Lee Schultz; and her brother, George Hobson.

She is survived by her children, Michael Schultz and wife, Maggie; Rebecca Migliazzo and husband, Dan; Lisa Schultz Ethel and husband, Harmon Newberry; and Stephen Schultz and wife, Amy; brothers, William Cecil Hobson and wife, Mary Ann, and David Lee Hobson and wife, Carol; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Rest-Ever Memorial Park in Bryan, TX, with Rev. Ray Marshall officiating. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.
