Earl Graves

Earl J. Graves, 81, of Bryan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018. The family will host a private gathering and tribute at a future date. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station, Texas.

Earl was born February 21, 1937, in Toulon, Illinois, to Earl Quincy Graves and Helen Hall Graves. He worked as an industrial engineer.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn Graves; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Graves, Elizabeth and David  Poprik, Susan and Phillip Anderson; grandchildren, Courtney DeFee, Chris Anderson, Megan Pendle, Josh Anderson, Ashley Poprik, Alan Poprik, Rowan Poprik; and great grandchildren, Collin and Owen Anderson.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations in Earl’s memory to Habitat for Humanity or Valley View Food Bank in El Mirage, Arizona.

  1. Dear Marilyn, Willy and I extend our deepest sympathies on the passing of Earl. I know how close you both were and, he will be greatly missed. You did a great job taking care of him through the years of his illness. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

  2. So sorry to hear of Earl’s passing. I spent much time with Earl as a child, from Cub Scouts (his mother, Helen, was den mother) through high school where we played football together and often double dated While it has been many years since I have heard from Earl, I remember him fondly.

  3. Our deepest condolences to Marilyn and all the family. Sheryl and I have fond memories of Earl and Marilyn has our square dance partners while we were all in Saudi. Rest In Peace our friend.

    Earl has been a lifelong friend, Marcine spent twelve years as a classmate in the Toulon School system, Ollie caught up with Earl our freshmen year at Toulon H. S. where we established lifelong memories. We will miss Earl’s smiling face and dry humor.

    Marcine (Heaton) Wilson and Earl shared 12 years of Elementary/High School education in the Toulon school system. Ollie Wilson caught up with you, for four years, in Toulon High where we established a lifetime of memories to include football, chorus, & many double-dates. Earl’s smile and dry humor will be greatly missed.
