Doris Wohlfarth

Doris Wohlfarth, 97, of Bryan, passed away Saturday July 25, 2015. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory in Bryan College Station, Texas. At this time no funeral services have been scheduled.

 Doris was born in Spaulding, Oklahoma, to Henry and Mattie (Davis) Shores. Upon graduation from high school, she moved to Oklahoma City where she met and married the love of her life, Louis Wohlfarth. Together they lived in Edmonds, Washington, Denver, Colorado, and Tucson, Arizona before moving to College Station in 2001. Doris worked for 20 years as an auditor at the Central Bank of Denver. She loved literature, poetry, music, traveling and fishing. She was a marvelous cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis Wohlfarth, sisters Bernice Patch, Maurine Ragan, Alma Roberts, Jo Haverly, brothers, J.D. Shores and Glenn Shores.

 Doris is survived by, daughter, Doris and husband Rand Watson, of College Station, son, Louis (Butch) and wife Sharon Wohlfarth, of Granite Bay, California, sister Billie Katherine Murray of Sherman, Texas, brother Howard Shores, of Boyce, Louisiana, brother-in-law Howard Wohlfarth, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nursing staff of the 2nd floor assisted living and skilled division of Crestview Court for the love and excellent care they gave to their mother during the last months of her life.
